The Invisibility of Architecture: Register for This Presentation by UCalgary Site Leader Brian Sinclair

Lecture from Brian Sinclair (Site Leader for UCalgary) “The Invisibility of Architecture” - 25 January 2023

Jan 25th, 2023, 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm PST

Moderated by Nooshin Esmaeili (Co-Chair of the Graduate Student Committee)

Join this event for an inspirational and insightful discussion with architects Dr. Brian R. Sinclair FRAIC and Travis Price FAIA, where they discuss the transcendental quality in architecture- the pause between musical notes that makes the notes relevant, the emotional and spiritual unknown that architecture opens up to us, and the power of metaphor in sacred architecture.
Architecture goes beyond concrete, wood, and steel in the same way that we are more than our physical bodies. By offering a unique lens and new perspectives, this salon talk will explore and discuss ways to move beyond the physical form to pursue and optimize the vital intersection of wisdom and space. Design of spaces that connect the physical with the metaphysical, the outer with the inner, and the visible with the invisible; all that fosters our sense of being.
Participants can register for free online through Eventbrite: The Invisibility of Architecture.
