Description:

Development projects are conceived and implemented by and for stakeholders. From citizen to citizen, shaped by the hands of designers and builders, under the guidance of project owners, these projects are above all conditioned by the levers and tensions activated by a complex dynamic of actors. In this way, beyond the artifact produced, and its specific and singular characteristics, quality is defined and embodied by and thanks to the involvement of stakeholders.

So, how can we better understand these stakeholders, their role, their values, their potential, and this beyond disciplines and organizational postures? This seminar does not directly answer this delicate question, but rather aims to understand the nature of this dynamic by identifying the filters that condition it. Ultimately, this will shed light on what disrupts decision-making processes. To illustrate this issue, we propose an approach: how to capture and map these dynamics.

Points for reflection and discussion:

Does the architect only embody the architect within the project?

How to capture the multiple motivations of citizens?

Do managers manage the “project” or rather “management” projects?
