The cluster SPATIAL JUSTICE & HEIGHTENED QUALITY OF LIFE regroups situated project coordinated by:

  • The University of British Columbia
  • Dalhousie University
  • McGill University
  • Toronto Metropolitan University

The main research questions include:

  • How can public spaces across Vancouver integrate issues of identity and access in design?
  • How can community spaces redefine architectural quality in ‘learning centers’ across Nova Scotia?
  • Can nightlife in Montreal be reimagined for increased accessibility, equity and sustainability?
  • How can design and planning help in eliminating barriers for all users on Toronto’s Waterfront?
