As Found: International colloquium on adaptive reuse

September 5th to 7th, 2023

Carleton University sends researcher Dana Mastrangelo to Hasselt, Belgium to participate in the As Found international colloquium on adaptive reuse organized by the Flanders Architecture Institute and the Hasselt University. It aims to bring together designers, researchers and students to discuss experimental concepts and practices to intervene in the existing built environment and heritage.
Carleton University’s participation in the conference aims to present the Canadian perspective on adaptive reuse. It highlights successful projects in the nation’s capital and presents future opportunities for adaptive reuse while recognizing scarcity of projects compared to their abundance in the European context.
